Bedroom Tax
Changes to the role on how many bedrooms you are allowed
From April 2013 a rule on the number of bedrooms you are allowed was introduced to housing benefit and universal credit for working age people renting from a local authority, a registered housing association or other registered social landlord. Currently it is down to individual councils to determine whether your child can or cannot share a bedroom and the effect this would have on any resulting bedroom tax.
