Youth Offending Team

Working with young offenders

The Youth Offending Team (YOT) is a multi-agency team that is coordinated by a local authority, which is overseen by the Youth Justice Board. The service is made up of Social Workers, Police Officers, Probation Officers, Youth Support Workers and specialists in health, education, parenting, substance misuse and sports/arts. They work with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending, which may include those with disabilities or special educational needs.
